The short version: We Have Wine at Home! does not collect, transmit, or share any of your personal data. Your inventory lives entirely on your device and in your own iCloud account. We have no servers, no accounts, and no analytics.
1. Overview
We Have Wine at Home ("the App") is an iOS and iPadOS application for tracking personal bar inventories. This Privacy Policy describes how the App handles information. It applies to the App and the website at wehavewineathome.app.
By using the App, you agree to this policy. Because we collect no personal data, there is very little here to agree to.
2. Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any of the following:
- Your name, email address, or any account credentials
- Your inventory data, including bottle records, notes, prices, or photos
- Your device identifiers or location
- Usage analytics, crash reports, or behavioral telemetry
- Any data whatsoever through the App
3. Where Your Data Lives
All inventory data you enter into the App is stored in two places, both entirely under your control:
- On-device storage — managed by SwiftData on your iPhone or iPad
- Your personal iCloud account — used for syncing data across your devices via CloudKit
No data is ever transmitted to our servers because we do not operate any servers. iCloud sync is handled entirely by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy and terms of service. We never have access to your iCloud data.
4. Photos
When you photograph a label within the App, the photo is saved to a dedicated "Wine Labels" album in your device's photo library. Photos are stored locally on your device and may be synced to iCloud Photos if you have that enabled — this is governed by Apple's policies, not ours. We do not receive or store your photos.
5. Import and Export
The App can import and export your inventory as a CSV file. When you export, the file is shared through iOS's system share sheet — you control where it goes (Files, AirDrop, email, etc.). We do not receive or have access to exported files.
6. Third-Party Services
The App uses no third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or data-sharing integrations. The only external service involved in App operation is iCloud, which is Apple's service subject to Apple's privacy policy.
This website uses Google Fonts to load typefaces. Google Fonts may log the request to serve font files; see Google's privacy policy for details. No other third-party scripts are loaded by this website.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Because we collect no information from anyone, this section is largely precautionary.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we ever change our privacy practices in a material way, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Because we do not have your contact information, we cannot notify you directly — please check this page periodically if you are concerned.
